Just came back from a wonderful food and history tour of Morristown NJ. I learned so much and our guide was great. I would highly recommend it. We also made some nice friends with two other ladies who also went on the tour and that made it even better!
Had an amazing lunch experience at this place in Wayne NJ. Would recommend it to all. Lovely atmosphere. The scones were the best I have ever tasted!
Cape May Food Tours-I did one of them this summer and I highly recommend it. Check it out. www.capemayfoodtours.com/
There is a TOPGOLF in Edison NJ that I want to try this weekend. Seems like a fun time for ages and levels. I'll let you know what I think. In the meantime check out the link. www.topgolf.com
Want to go to a cool place? The holidays will be here before you know it and there is this great roof top bar at 230 Fifth Avenue in New York City. In the fall they have heated igloos you can sit in, have a drink and take in the fantastic view.
Want some fun and a good meal. Take a tip from me an head over the the Sheep Heid Inn in Edinburgh. Try your hand at a game of skittles, have a beer in the beer garden or a delicious meal at the inn. /www.thesheepheidedinburgh.co.uk/
Season 2 will be here any day now. Why not throw an Outlander party just like those of us who enjoy Oscar Parties. If you got to Outlanderkitchen.com they have all kinds of fun recipes to try. I am not sure what I will be making yet. Send your ideas my way or let me know what you made and how it turned out!
I am a potato fan. One of the ways I like to make them is to cut them into cubes and toss with oil, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. But to get in that extra splash of flavor I squeeze in some Meyer lemon juice. If you can't find Meyer lemons you can just use regular lemon. Don't overload it though; taste as you go.
Dress up your table a bit with a bit of nautical bling. I made these beaded napkin rings with a ships wheel charm. I can also put a seashell charm, turtle or starfish if you prefer.
I'm not a chef but I love to cook and share ideas. So bring it on
